Even within the Industry 4.0 developments, the robotised production is not yet secure and there is a constant requirement to implement workspaces where humans and robots can cooperate safely. In 2016 the term Cobot (Collaborative Robot) was introduced together with a standard specifying the basic safety requirements of the field.
MTA SZTAKI within the newly established “Industry 4.0 Research and Innovation Centre of Excellence” researches and develops new solutions, which are currently mainly used by large global companies, are gradually becoming available for SMEs as well.
Our colleague, Imre Paniti participates in the SMART 2017 event, and his presentation gives an insight into the World of Cobots, shows some new communication solutions and highlights the activities of the above mentioned centre.
