4th IEEE International Symposium on Logistics and Industrial Informatics (Slovakia, 2012.)

In the summer of 2011 a new robot laboratory started to work in the Computer and Automation Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The lab consists of two robots and a milling machine. One of the robots is a big size, big power FANUC industrial robot . These 3 tools are used for real technologies (Rubik’s Cube and Incremental sheet forming) and for virtual networking experiments. The VirCA system of SZTAKI is assisting the real and virtual experiments of modeling, simulation and operation.   The advanced 3D input and output devices are pushing researchers to create 3D models. Using the information highway for accessing available 3D services, we create state of the art applications on the Internet. Our  presentation gives a short account on some efforts to implement and apply real and virtual 3D environment for different robot-related tasks by means of experiments in the new laboratory.
