International scientists of Technical Diagnostics are in Budapest

The international scientific organisation: „International Measurement Confederation” (IMEKO) – which was established in Budapest in 1958, having it’s headquarter since than continuously in Hungary – holds the yearly workshop on Technical Diagnostics in Budapest.

The Hungarian organiser is the Institute for Computer Science and Control of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the chairman of the conference is Dr. Zsolt János Viharos, senior research fellow in Research Laboratory on Engineering & Management Intelligence, who has also various national and international positions inside IMEKO. The workshop is already the 15th scientific meeting of scientists and industrial experts working on Technical Diagnostics. The motto of the conference mirrors well the actual trends of the field: “Technical Diagnostics in Cyber-Physical Era”. The cyber-physical systems are part of our daily life in the field of diagnostics, too, there is a significant connection between research and practice, which both are represented by the equal balance between the two-two invited lecturers from industry and science. The advanced industrial applications are explained by Jenő Csanaki, Unit Manager, Machining, OPEL Szentgotthárd Ltd. (Hungary) and by Lodovico Menozzi, Business Development Manager Europe - Condition Monitoring, National Instruments (Italy), while the recent scientific results are presented by Prof. Robert Schmitt, Director for Machine Tools and Production Engineering, WZL | RWTH Aachen University, Director Fraunhofer Institut Productiontechnology, IPT (Germany) and by Prof. Diego Galar, Professor of Condition Monitoring, Division of Operation and Maintenance Engineering, Luleå University of Technology (Sweden). Beyond the invited lectures the participants can attend more than 30 scientific presentations on the field of Technical Diagnostics, interpreted by scientist from seven countries from three continents, in the Danubius Hotel Gellért in Budapest, between 6-7th of June, 2017.
