Quantifiable Closed Quality Control
1 Jul 2010– 31 Jul 2013

The project “Quantifiable Closed Quality Control” (QC)² deals with the identification and development of improved structures and methods, which enable SME to control their activities concerning process and product quality issues.
Process quality addresses the minimization of all non-value adding processes in the value chain from order processing to production itself..

The aspect of Product quality enhances the view of classical production planning and steering by dentifying quality sensors within production. Those sensors are needed to measure the product quality (failure free fulfilment of customer requirements) and ist improvement along the value chain. The identification of information gaps between sensors, steering processes and induced actions are an enabler for improving the company’s processes.
With closed structures in forward and backward oriented information flows the targeted System Quality is achieved for SME. A high system quality means that an SME is able to govern the interdependency between process and product quality and is able of producing products with an economic optimal quality. Especially these abilities are crucial for SMEs competitiveness.
