The goal of the project

Freesoft Plc. has made considerable efforts to make the quality of its products and services better via the developments that are to be realized through R&D project results. Its Contentum content management product, which is a market leader in the field of file and document management systems used in public administration in Hungary, aims to support the better management of search and retrieval functions of these systems and to reduce the high costs of digitizing.

The aim of this project is to review T-Online's current web development and web design methodology, and to propose modifications to speed up T-Online's web design and to make current portals more ergonomic.

MIK

The MOBILE INNOVATION CENTRE (MIK) was founded as a result of the call for proposals „The Establishment of R&D and Innovation Centre for Mobile Communication” supported by the National Office for Research and Technology. The Centre is based on the cooperation of universities, academic research institutions, industrial companies, suppliers and organisations dealing with scientific research and innovation, including the representatives of profit-oriented and non-profit sectors.

Project objectives

The aim of the National Cancer Registry GRID (Országos Rákregiszter GRID - ORG) is to develop the next generation of the National Cancer Registry (NCR). The NCR started its operation in 1999 with its central program being the collection, management, and analysis of data on people who have been diagnosed with malignant or neoplastic disease (cancer). The technology behind the NCR is still operable but a bit outdated.

The goal of the project was the renewal of Hungarian Telekom's internet discussion forum system by migrating data from the existing system. A major requirement for the new system was that it must be able to serve the regularly organised public forums, where workers of Telekom can freely and anonymously ask a manager of Telekom on a specific subject. The designated manager answers questions online in a 1-2 hour interval. The old system was not able to serve such forums due to the huge interest with the potential 12.000 employees of Hungarian Telekom.

1. The goal of the project and the use of the results after finishing the project

The goal of the project is to develop an online plagiarism-search portal that helps both digital libraries to protect their documents, and teachers, professors to find copied work or publications. The portal would also give information about the Hungarian legal issues corresponding to this special field, and would include a discussion forum as well.

HEKTÁR: Applying open digital library recommandations to Hungarian electronic libraries.

The project explores the possibilities and examines the steps that are necessary to be taken for the introduction and establishment of e-administration and dissemination of e-democracy in a wider area. Naturally, the range of tasks are multidisciplinary and successfully completing the project requires cooperation among representatives and experts in administration, jurisdiction, finance, computer sciences and sociology.
