SZTAKI Desktop GRID
This service enables end users to volunteer their PCs for public hungarian research projects or later to solve their own computational problems with the help of SZTAKI Desktop Grid.
The project has two main goals. The first is the research on clouds as distributed computing systems and the second is to develop and to deploy an institutional cloud infrastructure based on the results of first goal that allows the significant improvement of the local IT infrastructure. This new cloud based infrastructure will be significantly more effective and more cost efficient than the former infrastructure built on traditional conceptions and individual specific servers. This new improved institutional infrastructure could even be the first milestone in a global academic paradigm shift.
Offers a web based graphical interface to various international Grid (gLite, GT2, GT4, GT5, BOINC, etc.) and Cloud infrastructures for end-users and applications developers. This online service supports ten-thousands of computers and enables to solve large computational intensive problems.

A key element of the Semantic Web is defining the relationship between descriptive metadata elements. This registry demonstrates how Dublin Core based metadata schemas can be related to each other. It also supports schema editing and the reuse of existing metadata schemas.
