Description

Objectives
The main objective of the project was the analysis and development of data-mining algorithms to automatically identify the key parameters of the machine tools, as well as automatic discovering of capacity related engineering knowledge without any prior information. Secondary objective was the automatic generation of the simulation model from the MES database and parameterization on the base of the data-mining algorithms.

Results
A software prototype of the above developments (patent in process, Japan, USA, EU), as well as the visualization of the MES data (e.g. GANTT type and clustered process time visualization tools) has been implemented. The object-oriented simulation model of the factory provided analysis for a couple of months in advance.
