The Sixth Biannual World Automation Congress - WAC 2006 - held in Budapest between 24-26. July, was duly dedicated to Prof. Tibor Vámos, academician, for his outstanding contributions to knowledge-based systems, pattern recognition, systems engineering and for his international leadership in the awareness and dissemination of the automatic control field.
