- Géza Haidegger, Ph.D., senior research fellow

Graduated at the Technical University of Budapest in 1978, begun to work at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Computer and Automation Institute, Mechanical Engineering Automation Department. Obtained his second Diploma in 1982 at the Electrical Faculty, Department of Metrology. He got his Ph.D. in 2002. He has been in charge of the design of industrial control systems, such as CNC, distributed PLC systems, industrial cell-controllers. His attention was directed towards standardized communication methods, and focused on MAP networking. He has initiated the East-European MAP/TOP Interest Group, has been elected as Steering Committee member of EMUG and EEMIG, has directed the operation of the MAP Training Center at CAI. Member in Scientific Societies, author and co-author in numerous publications. Main field of interest: communications in CIM systems, networking and recently multimedia in networked architectures. Car recycling, production technologies for micro- and nano-products, robotics are the presently related R&D topics. Project leader of several Hungarian and joint European projects. 100 ++ publications.
