- Kovács György, Prof, laborvezető
A Budapesti Műszaki Egyetem Villamosmérnöki Karán kapott kitüntetéses diplomát 1966-ban. Ugyanitt szerezte egyetemi dr. fokozatát 1976-ban, majd habilitált és egyetemi magántanár lett 1995-ben. A Magyar Tudományos Akadémián kandidátusi fokozatot szerzett 1978-ban, majd az MTA Doktora fokozatot 1997-ben. Az MTA AKI, majd az MTA SZTAKI munkatársa 1966 óta, tudományos osztályvezető 1979 óta, jelenleg tudományos tanácsadó és a CIM Kutatólaboratórium vezetője 1990 óta. A Budapesti Műszaki és Gazdaságtudományi Egyetem valamint a Pécsi Egyetem professzora. Vendégkutató volt az USA-ban (egy év), a Szovjetúnióban (két év), az NSZK-ban (egy év) és vendégprofesszor Mexikóban (6 hónap) és Olaszországban (6+1 hónap). Több, mint 300 publikációja jelent meg folyóiratokban és konferenciakiadványokban, mint pl. az IFAC és IFIP világkonferenciáin. Több, mint 100 független hivatkozása van. Számos Magyar és nemzetközi szervezet tagja, tisztségviselője, IEEE senior member, az IFIP TC5 elnökhelyettese. Négy tudományos folyóirat szerkesztőbizottsági tagja. Gyakran szervezője (Pl. PROLAMAT 2001, MIM 2001, CSIT 2005), ill. meghívott plenáris előadója nemzetközi konferenciáknak. Tudományos érdeklődés: gyártásautomatizálás, intelligens eszközök alkalmazása a tervezésben és gyártásban, virtuális gyártás, technológia transzfer. Számtalan hazai és nemzetközi project vezetője, köztük számos EU projekté.
