DELOS Working Group 2.1

Creating test environments for digital library research.

This working group of the 1st DELOS Network of Excellence (2000-2002) aimed at providing a Digital Library Evaluation Forum and a Digital Library Test Suite which will provide researchers with information for the selection of potential digital library testbeds and new research or evaluation targets.

This work is continued in the Evaluation Workpackage of the 2nd DELOS Network of Excellence.

MetaLibrary

MetaLibrary is the first prototype of a DL evaluation forum. MetaLibrary collects information on all sorts of digital library systems, projects, testbeds, etc. and provides an intelligent testbed selection and evaluation tool for these. We are seeking your input as a member of the DL research community and/or potential user of the MetaLibrary.

DELOS Workshop on Evaluation of digital libraries: Testbeds, measurements, and metrics was held on 6-7 June 2002 at MTA SZTAKI, Budapest, Hungary

The working group organized a session on the evaluation of digital libraries at the First EU-DL All Projects Concertation meeting held in Luxembourg on 7-8 February 2001.
