    Poster Sessions
Poster sessions will be held every day in the first afternoon session (14.00-15.30). No other meetings will be scheduled during that time, so that the full attention will be focussed on the poster presentations. Each poster will be up for two days. Monday and Tuesday are reserved for posters of symposia A and C, Wednesday and Thursday for posters of symposia B and D. It is expected that the author of the poster paper is present at both afternoon sessions.

    Important for poster presenters:
The posters of each symposia will be grouped by sessions and a code will identify each poster presentation from now onward (e.g.: C1.P3. means the 3rd poster in session C1). Please do not forget this code appearing in the Preliminary Program since it will help you to find your board in the poster session room.
We kindly ask the poster presenters of other symposia to check the Preliminary Program on the website for their code.

    Dimensions of posters:
The dimensions of the poster stands are 1 m (width) x 2 m (height), the suggested poster size is A0 (portrait format), 840 mm (width) x 1188 mm (height). Posters can be fixed with pins available at the poster area.

Authors actually presenting the papers must register for the Conference no later than 1 July, 2001 (the deadline for early registration), otherwise their papers will automatically be cancelled and will be excluded from the Final Program and all Conference publications.

    Presentation and technical equipment

Time for oral presentation is 15 minutes, except for those invited papers where the session chairperson has allowed more time. For the benefit of both the audience and the next speaker, all speakers are kindly requested to strictly adhere to the time limit that otherwise will be enforced by the session chairs.

Overhead projectors, slide projectors and data/video beamers will be available in the session rooms. (Please note: for computer presentation speakers should bring and use their own laptop/notebook to be connected to the data/video beamers provided in the session rooms.)

Authors wishing to give a computer presentation are kindly asked to prepare and bring with themselves also slides to be used in technical emergency.

    Publication and typing instructions
Authors are expected to bring three hard copies of their paper as well as an electronic version (.ps or .pdf file) to the conference. If it is more convenient, the electronic version could also be sent to the following e-mail address: richter@sztaki.hu. All manuscripts that have been submitted by the end of the conference will be included in the unreviewed proceedings, which will be published on a CD shortly after the conference. Five representative papers from each session, either oral presentations or posters, will be published in the hardcover IAG/Springer series after review of the full papers by two reviewers. It is expected that this volume will be available in spring 2002. All papers have to follow the typing instructions and will be limited to a maximum of six pages. In most cases the ‘short version/sample paper’ of the typing instructions will be sufficient. If not use the ‘full version’.

    Host City
The Hungarian capital, Budapest, known as the “Pearl of the Danube”, is a bustling city in the heart of Europe, with over two million inhabitants. Its two halves are Buda and Pest. Buda, on the right bank of the Danube, has hills and valleys, and has for centuries been the administrative centre of the country; it was formerly the royal seat. On the left bank, Pest has grown into a large, busy and modern city, spreading out on to the plains.

The building of the Academy can easily be reached by public transport. The downtown of the city is within walking distance.

Arrival in Budapest - transfer from the airport & railway
Most participants will arrive at the Budapest Ferihegy Airport. The simplest means of transportation to any place in Budapest is via minibuses. This door-to-door Airport Minibus Service is reasonably priced (approx. USD 6) and is much more reliable than taxis.

A Railbus Service operates from the three major railway stations, with approximately the same conditions as the Airport Minibus.
